It isn't every day that I am asked to photograph a former head of state, but that is exactly what happened about a week ago when the non-profit Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) asked me to photograph a reception for their FaithsAct fellows. Tony Blair's own Faith Foundation partnered with IFYC to award fellowships to some outstanding young people of diverse faiths to help raise awareness of and combat deaths caused by malaria and Mr. Blair himself was the keynote speaker.
It was a pretty enlightening evening to learn more about these two amazing organizations. And it was equally cool to get a chance to stand only a few feet away from former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to listen to him speak and have the opportunity to photograph him.
